The 16th edition of the Need for Speed Community Podcast is now live and ready to download from iTunes and our RSS feed, and starting this week, you can stream the cast in this space in the player below.

With Drew hobbled by food poisoning and Greg at a prior commitment, Mike and Kirk co-hosted this week's cast, so things were a little different, but we still covered all the bases with competition updates, Twitter and Facebook info and some information about the newest Hot Lap challenge.

This week's off-topic topic is a little different than weeks past, but we think you'll like it just the same.

We also said goodbye to a member in good standing on the podcast, NFSKev, may he find success and enjoyment in all his future endeavors.

Last week we had the chance to talk to upcoming rapper Mickey Factz. If you've listened to the Need for Speed soundtracks this year you'll have heard his work as he's a favourite with EA soundtracks featuring on Fight Night 4, NBA and various NFS games this year.

Originally Mickey was planning to write a specific song for the SHIFT soundtrack but when the deadline passed he opted to release the new track, Alpha, on the first day of the new year. Mickey was a really cool guy and it was great to talk to him; hope you all enjoy the podcast.
